Flu Jab

Getting the flu jab early is more important than ever.

At Goshen Pharmacy, we provide this service to patients annually. The flu jab is a vaccination against the influenza virus. Most people receive this vaccination as an injection or jab. But children receive the vaccination in the form of a nasal spray. The flu vaccine is the best protection against catching the flu. You can get your flu jab from your GP.

Alternatively, you can get it through us here at Goshen Pharmacy. Our pharmacist will check if you are eligible for a flu vaccination on the NHS. If you are not eligible for a free injection, you can still have the jab privately, which may be more convenient than booking an appointment at your GPs.

Earwax Removal Service

Sometimes a build of earwax can cause pain or affect your hearing. Ear drops can help soften the wax, but you may also choose an earwax removal service. Remember, you should never push any foreign objects, like cotton buds, into your ear as this can make the blockage worse or cause damage to the eardrum. An earwax removal service allows you to access treatments that may no longer be offered by your GP.

The options include:

  • Ear irrigation aka ear stringing where water is used to flush the wax out

  • Micro-suction that uses a small probe to suck the excess wax away

These treatments are usually painless and should improve your symptoms very quickly. Whilst some GPs may still offer these services, but many don’t. So, paying for private treatment may be an option for you. Call into the store on contact us below for more information
